Applications invited for a share of Lincoln Lottery Community Fund 2024

30 October 2024

City of Lincoln Council and Voluntary Centre Services are pleased to announce the application window for Lincoln Lottery Community Fund 2024 is now open.

A total of £11,335 is available within the 2024 fund to support local projects benefitting the residents of Lincoln.

How has the fund been raised?

Of the total amount of funds up for grabs, £8,135 has been raised by supporters of Lincoln Community Lottery between August 2023 and July 2024. Additionally, due to a local good cause not being able to utilise their allocation of the Lincoln Lottery Community Fund 2023, £3,200 of the 2023 fund has also been added to the 2024 fund for reallocation.

All funds to be allocated have been raised by supporters of Lincoln Community Lottery who have either –

  • selected the Lincoln Lottery Community Fund as their good cause when purchasing tickets – 60 pence of every ticket sold goes towards this fund
  • selected any of the other good causes when purchasing tickets - 10 pence of every ticket sold supports the Community Fund, with a further 50 pence going directly to the supporters chosen good cause.

Consultation results

During October 2024 a consultation took place to identify the top two good cause areas where lottery supporters and residents would like the Lincoln Lottery Community Fund 2024 to be allocated to.

The consultation identified the top two good cause areas as ‘Reducing the impacts of poverty’ and ‘Reducing social isolation and loneliness’.

Who can apply?

Good causes operating in one or both of these good cause areas are now invited to apply for a share of the funding to deliver a specific project or activity that benefits the residents of the City of Lincoln.

  • Constituted groups with Terms of Reference and a volunteer management committee, which has a minimum of three unrelated members that meets on a regular basis (at least 3 times per year)
  • Registered charities, with a board of trustees
  • Registered Community Interest Companies (and be willing to provide copies of your Community Interest Statement, details of the Asset Lock included in your Memorandum and Articles of Association, and a copy of your latest annual community interest report)

All good causes applying for funding must have a dedicated bank account for the organisation, which requires at least two unrelated signatories to access the funds.

All causes must also meet the good cause terms and conditions for Lincoln Community Lottery and provide copies of documentation to prove their eligibility upon request.
